When EvoCat is the better fit
You want a firm block for a study session and a challenge before a break at other times. EvoCat gives you both, with the same companion. You can change your cat’s look without changing your blocking rules.
Its progression is concrete: protect time, build focus hours, and unlock a Level 2 appearance at 100 hours. See how EvoCat’s progress works.
What to weigh before switching
Opal has a broad rule system, including app-open limits and Allow Only rules. If those are central to your setup, check them before switching. EvoCat’s clearest reason to choose it is the combination of hard block, active challenges and evolving cat companions.
Strict mode is not identical across apps or versions. Opal’s App Store listing uses “Deep Focus”; its current help center describes “Hard Mode” and its Emergency Pass. EvoCat’s hard block has no in-app challenge to unlock a break. This comparison does not claim identical resistance to changes in device settings.
